Bungalow Spotlight: Sleepy Hollow
Inviting, soothing, and relaxing, The Sleepy Hollow Bungalow experience is casual, just like a day at the beach—with sand, sun, and surf. Designed by Tania Cassill Interior Design, the Bungalow’s color palette and theme is inspired by the art of one of Sleepy Hollow Group’s founding members, Wolfgang Bloch. Wolfgang’s art is a sublime, romantic interpretation of the Laguna coastline.
The Sleepy Hollow Group is a congregation of local designers and artists who share a love of the ocean, surf, outdoor lifestyle, and Laguna Beach. The group formed organically: each knowing one another through various connections. Amazingly enough, the group had a clear vision of what the Bungalow design needed to be. The Sleepy Hollow group is comprised of the following:
Tania Cassill of Tania Cassill Interior Design - A Laguna Beach resident for most of the past 40 years, Tania Cassill offers 20-plus years of experience in fashion and interior design, creating beautiful, functional spaces that are both comfortable and match her clients’ lifestyles.
Wolfgang Bloch - Wolfgang Bloch has lived in Laguna Beach for more than 20 years. His work has been exhibited in the pages of major international publications and on the walls of galleries and museums across the globe, including the Laguna Art Museum.
Bret Englander of the Cerno Group - Cerno is comprised of three childhood best friends, all born and raised in Laguna Beach. After pursuing different academic and professional paths, they reunited in their hometown and started a design and manufacturing company of modern LED light fixtures —100% made in the Laguna Beach.
Kerry Cassill of Paisley Label by Kerry Cassill at Lala - The local KC boutique is owned and operated by Kerry Cassill, a longtime Laguna business owner and resident. Her original designs are made from hand-blocked organic fabric and can be found all over the USA.
Joe Pfeifer of Vintage Wood Floor Company - Joe Pfeifer’s company has provided reclaimed and vintage wood beams, flooring, and various other wood elements to many Laguna residents.
“I love Laguna Beach and couldn’t imagine raising our family anywhere else. We are a tight-knit community—much like a village. We band together to help each other in times of need, we reach out when we need help, we celebrate together, and we take pride in our beautiful beach town. Our unique landscape of rocky coves, beautiful beaches, and rolling hills sets us apart from all of our neighboring communities.” —Wolfgang Bloch
